Urgent: Series of strong Israeli airstrikes target Beirut’s southern suburbs: local media

BEIRUT, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) — The Israeli army launched a series of strong airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs, causing massive fires in the area, al-Jadeed local TV channel reported.
The local channel reported that the massive fires prevented civil defense teams from reaching the area.
It added that the airstrikes were stronger than those launched to kill Hezbollah Leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. ■
